IPL 2023: Before the IPL 2023 mini-auction, CSK and MI, two of the most successful IPL franchises, have published their retention plans and player rosters. Important developments include the retention of Ravindra Jadeja by the Chennai Super Kings and the release of Kieron Pollard by the Mumbai Indians.
Even though it appeared that all communication between Ravindra Jadeja and CSK had been lost, the all-rounder will play for them in the IPL in 2023. Captain MS Dhoni was passionate about preserving Jaddu, which may have contributed to his unexpected retention.
On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians made a cold-blooded choice to fire Pollard. Kieron Pollard, a Caribbean all-rounder who has played for MI since 2010, has played for them in 13 seasons.
He contributed significantly to their five championship victories by scoring 3412 runs with a strike rate close to 150. However, Pollard, 35, had a terrible season last year. The powerful batsman appeared out of sorts and scored just 144 runs in 11 games.

Five players in total have been discharged by MI. Pollard will join Tymal Mills, Fabian Allen, Hrithik Shokeen, and Mayank Markande in the auction pool. Although Mills deserved to be fired following a disappointing IPL 2022.
The other 3 were let go without being given the chance to prove themselves. Tim David (186 runs, SR 216, and 16 sixes). Is one of the ten players that were kept in the lineup. Mumbai Indians fans can anticipate him donning the finishing cap that Kieron Pollard wore for the past eight to ten years.
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Jofra Archer, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav. Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, Tilak Verma, and Daniel Sams are the other players MI has kept on staff.
