IRE vs IND: Aakash Chopra Reacts On Deepak Hooda’s Century Against Ireland

IRE vs IND: Deepak Hooda continued his excellent batting form with a stroke century in the second T20I against Ireland at Malahide in Dublin. Hooda, whose unbeaten 47 helped India win the first match of the series, looked in great form as he tore apart Ireland’s inexperienced bowling attack. Hooda came out to bat in the third over after Ishan Kishan’s wicket fell and never looked back as he and Sanju Samson punished the Irish bowlers.

Deepak Hooda was the aggressor from the start, as he began removing the boundaries. He hit two boundaries off Josh Little in the fifth and began the sixth from Craig Young with a maximum. Samson attempted to match Hooda’s ferocity and also delivered some spectacular hits.

Hooda let loose in the 10th over, hitting Andy McBrine for two sixes to help India reach 97/1 at the halfway point of their innings while also reaching his fifty in just 27 balls.

He continued the carnage in the 12th over, hitting Conor Olphert for 17 runs after hitting boundaries and sixes.

Hooda hit Olphert for two back-to-back sixes in the 14th over to take the score into the 90s, even as Samson reached his half-century and began changing gears.

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra has reacted badly to Deepak Hooda’s brilliant innings in the second T20 match against Ireland. He said that in the first match, also Hooda played a tremendous inning and scored a brilliant century in this match as well.

Deepak Hooda scored a terrific century against Ireland. Hooda, who came to bat at number three, batted aggressively from the beginning and completed his half-century in 27 balls. After completing the half-century, Hooda started scoring runs even faster. 

He completed his century in just 55 balls. Hooda played an innings of 104 runs in 57 balls, including nine fours and six sixes. Hooda put on an excellent partnership of 176 runs for the second wicket with Sanju Samson (77). This has become the highest partnership for India in T20 for any wicket.

During a conversation on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra reacted to Deepak Hooda.

“Deepak Hooda did a great job as an opener in the first match and scored a brilliant century while playing at number three in this match. He batted very well. He played a match-winning innings in the first match as well. Deepak started with sixes and kept on hitting sixes”.

India defeated Ireland by four runs in the second T20I to win the series 2-0. Playing first, the Indian team scored 225 runs for seven wickets. Playing in reply, Ireland’s team could only reach the score of 221 runs for five wickets.
