Mumbai Indians Ishan Kishan played the knock of his life against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The elegant southpaw stole the show for his splendid knock against the Virat Kohli-led team in Dubai on Monday.
When the defending champions lost Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, and Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard steadied the ship in the second innings. The left and the right-hand combination did a world of good for MI as the duo added 119-run stand off just 51 balls.
Ishan Kishan was the pick of the batsmen for MI as he scored 99 off just 58 balls. His innings included nine sixes and two fours to his name. On the other hand, Kieron Pollard unleashed his batting marvel by scoring a 20-ball fifty. The Caribbean ended up scoring 60 off 24 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 maximums.

Mumbai Indians required 19 runs in the last six balls. However, the reigning champions managed to score just two runs in two balls. Sri Lankan international Isuru Udana kept both the batsmen in check in his first two deliveries.
However, Ishan Kishan upped his ante by scoring two sixes off the next two deliveries. The youngster also attempted for a six of the next ball but ended up falling prey to Udana’s bowling. Kishan mistimed a shot and was caught by Devdutt Padikkal at deep midwicket.
Ishan Kishan won MI’s hearts for his spectacular 99. After his sublime knock, Aditi Hundia, Ishan’s rumored girlfriend, shared a heartening post for him on her latest Instagram story.
She took a screenshot from the game and wrote, “I am so so proud of you baby”. For the unversed, Aditi Hundia is the Miss Supranational India 2018.
RCB beat MI in Super Over:
Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard failed to add more runs to the scorecard in the Super Over. Navdeep Saini who was expensive in the match for RCB made a great comeback by bowling a terrific Super Over.
The right-arm fast bowler conceded just 7 runs, while also dismissing Hardik Pandya in the process. In reply, RCB chased down the target with the help of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.
Jasprit Bumrah did his best to keep the two world-class batsmen in check. The fast bowler stretched the game to the last ball of the match when RCB required one run. Virat Kohli hit the winning runs in the form of a four.
Earlier, RCB posted 201/3 in 20 overs on the back of fifties from AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, and Devdutt Padikkal. AB de Villiers was the man of the match for his 24-ball-55 with the help of 4 fours and as many sixes.
