The future of Paul Pogba has been the subject of talks these days with the midfielder unhappy under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
The Frenchman’s career at Old Trafford has only been good in flashes due to the midfielder’s lack of consistency. Jose Mourinho has often been blamed for Pogba’s misfiring by playing him out of position.
Despite starting this campaign on a stellar note, Pogba’s form faded away with a hamstring injury which sidelined him for weeks. Notwithstanding, the 25-year-old managed to return strong, but the performances have been mediocre at best which has reportedly annoyed Mourinho.
As per reports, Pogba is fed up with playing under the Portuguese manager, and is apparently looking for a move away from Old Trafford.
The coming months will determine Pogba’s future with the Red Devils
Several people have been clueless over Mourinho’s treatment of Pogba, who is definitely one of the most promising midfielders. He has seen himself benched on several occasions with the manager preferring youngster Scott McTominay to handle the midfield alongside Nemanja Matic. Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba gave his thoughts regarding this volatile situation at Old Trafford.
Drogba believes Mourinho likes Pogba a lot
In an interview with Telefoot, The Ivory Coast striker revealed Mourinho’s attitude towards people that he hates and added that the manager is fond of Pogba. He said:
“It’s been hot between us [Drogba and Mourinho],” he said. “But Jose is never going to attack people he does not like. He likes Paul a lot. That’s why he’s given him a lot of responsibilities.”

Pogba was one of Jose Mourinho’s first big buys buys, when he took charge of Red Devils. Mourinho has hailed the player on several occasions, and the midfielder can regain the manager’s trust by performing well in the business end of the season, after being declared fully fit.
Author’s Take:
The future for Pogba seems uncertain with the manager reportedly agreeing to sell the Frenchman to generate funds for a prospective spending spree in the summer. However, things could always change as Pogba can turn any game around when in full flow and could hence change the Portuguese manager’s mind. The thought of selling the former Juventus star seems dubious as the player is clearly full of potential.
