According to latest reports published in The Telegraph, the blues are aiming to get hold off Bayern Leverkusen star Javier Hernandez.
After raising their eyes from Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, Chelsea is now reportedly aiming to get hold of former Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez claims a popular German newspaper.
Antonio Conte might be looking to strengthen his lineup by adding Hernandez to his squad. This striker who previously played 103 games for Manchester United is currently on Conte’s radar and the Portuguese manager might be willing to bring him home in order to get some more options in his attacking lineup.
Javier Hernandez was transferred to Bayern Leverkusen back in 2015 and since then has been an exceptional player for the club. This 28-year-old striker has scored 22 goals in Bundesliga making 43 appearances for the club.
He also surely does have an exceptional profile back at United winning two Premier League titles with the Red Devils followed by two community shield.
The Italian manager has very little options to consider in terms of attack as was clear from his recent decision of keeping Michy Batshuayi on the bench despite their prime striker Diego Costa suspended for the Boxing Day fixture.
Adding this skilful striker in their already strong squad alongside Costa and Hazard might make them one of the toughest teams to beat in Premier League.
Manchester United Manager Praises this Striker
The current Manchester United manager Mourinho also praised this forward saying he wouldn’t have sold this player if he was present back at his 7.3 million pounds transfer.
This player was in top form at Manchester United and loved by his fans before Louis Van Gaal sent him on loan in 2014 to Real Madrid.
Following his return from the club this player was sold to the German club since then, he has been in blistering form.
Bayern Leverkusen is ready to sell this player if they get a good deal. According to the reports by the German newspaper an offer in between 25 million to 35 million pounds might convince them for transfer.
Conte sure has a lot of money in his hand following a 60 million pound transfer of Oscar to Shanghai and meeting Leverkusen’s demand might not be a problem for him.
Chelsea currently sits eight points clear at the top of Premier League table and have registered 12 consecutive wins by scoring 28 goals.
