Manchester United sealed passage into the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League after the last minute winner against BSC Young Boys. Jose Mourinho was expected to speak and he has just done that in a dramatic way, again.
Manchester United left it late but made sure that they managed to see off BSC Young Boys on Wednesday evening after a below average display. Marouane Fellaini’s far post finish from Lukaku’s ball helped Jose Mourinho’s men seal qualification in the UEFA Champions League alongside Juventus.
Jose Mourinho’s celebration was hilarious and passionate at the same time and videos of it have now gone viral across social media channels. The 55 year old was never going to leave the Old Trafford without taunting some people and he did have a message during the post-match press conference.
He told reporters: “For some of my lovers, I just want to say: for the ones that like stats, 14 times in the Champions League, 14 times qualified through the group phases. Never one of my teams stayed in the group phase. The seasons I didn’t play in the Champions League, I won the Europa League.”

Manchester United’s campaign has been full of ups and downs and especially this year, the UEFA Champions League matches have been some sort of contrasts for Jose Mourinho’s men. The Red Devils saw off Young Boys 3-0 in Switzerland on an opening day before being held by Valencia at the Old Trafford.
A loss against Juventus after a Paulo Dybala goal followed but Jose Mourinho’s side grabbed a late 2-1 win against the Old Lady at the Allianz Stadium where they came down a goal down in the last minutes. And now, having seen off Young Boys in a rollercoasters game, they sealed qualification with a game to spare.
Jose’s outfit is still very much in contention to top the group but that would require them to win at the Mestalla against Valencia. Meanwhile, the Red Devils also have to hope that BSC Young Boys can pull of a favour for them and hold Juventus to a draw or even better, defeat them.

Jose Mourinho going on a rant was inevitable after such a resounding late win which followed the Juventus one. Now attentions will turn to the Premier League and it will be great to see how the Portuguese manager addressed United’s next games.
