José Mourinho: I’m too young to consider being a manager

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insisted he has no plans to coach in China.

Jose Mourinho became Manchester United manager this summer after signing a 3-year contract with the Red Devils. Mourinho admitted both he and club are keen to extend the current contract further.

Despite admitting the money in Chinese football is attractive, Jose Mourinho insisted that he is too young to coach in China. The 53 year old Portuguese expects to stay for more than three years at Old Trafford.

“China money is attractive for everyone but I love more my football at the highest level,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.

“I’m too young to go to a place like China. I want to stay in the most difficult place to win.”

Mourinho confirmed that he will instantly sign a contract extension if club offers one. He believes he has many years left at the top level of football.

“The board didn’t [offer it yet] and I’m not expecting them to do because they gave me a three-year contract. They were being super supportive with me. They always gave me the feeling that three years is not the time I’m going to stay,” said Mourinho.

“I always had the feeling I am going to stay for longer. They know that I’m loving it at every level, they know I’m loving my job at Manchester United, and I know that if one day they bring a new contract I sign it. I will sign it because I’m loving it.”
