Jose Mourinho very keen to superstar at Old Trafford amid transfer interest

Manchester United is to stop any kind of transfer moves relating to forward Anthony Martial as he was considering leaving Manchester United as reported in early April.

Having been reduced to a largely peripheral role in recent weeks, there has been plenty of speculation that the France international will leave in the summer. Martial is intent on leaving Manchester United at the end of the campaign. The 22-year-old became the most expensive teenager in football history in 2015 when United signed him from Monaco.

However, he has struggled to find a permanent place in Mourinho’s playing eleven which has left him frustrated according to reports. Despite that, he’s still managed a respectable 11 goals and seven assists in all competitions. Rumors has it that the young footballer is wanting to make a move from Old Trafford. Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal have expressed interest in signing the forward.

But The Daily Express say that despite Martial’s frustrations, Manchester United want him to stay as they view him as an important squad player and a talent who could yet improve greatly. Hence Manchester United will look to block any moves for unsettled forward Anthony Martial this summer. “They should be thinking about it with everything that’s happening and the way United play,” Wright said of Martial and fellow forward Marcus Rashford.

“They should be a lot closer to Manchester City with the quality they have got but they have not been able to really express themselves in the way they want to. He [Martial] has almost fallen off a cliff with Mourinho and if he had to let one of them go it would probably be Martial.”

Despite limited appearances, Martial has been voted as the player of the month by the fans in three of the nine months this season and his transfer moves is disappointing to them. Jose Mourinho also doesn’t seem to let go of a potential player. Meanwhile, nothing has been heard from Martial about his transfer speculations yet.
