Both Juventus and Bayern Munich, along with English Premier League’s Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the player.
According to reports in the ESPN, Italian behemoths Juventus and Germain giants Bayern Munich are closely monitoring the developments of Manchester United’s Dean Henderson, who on loan from the Red Devils, plays for Sheffield United.
The 21-year-old youngster who has represented England at different age-levels has so far played 30 matches for Sheffield United in the English Football League Championship and has impressed.
Apart from these clubs, English Premier League’s own Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly keeping tabs on the development of this young shot-stopper who hails from Whitehaven.
He has been impressive, to say the least, or he would not have attracted the interest of some of the best clubs in Europe. With Sheffield United pushing for a promotion to the English Premier League – they are currently third in the points table, just 3 points behind league leaders Norwich City – Dean’s performance between the sticks will be crucial for The Blades.
Last summer, he penned down a new two year deal with Manchester United and the club has an option to extend it for one more year and it could come handy for United since it will be difficult for them to convinc Dean to stay, given they already have De Gea and Romero in the department. It is suggested that the clubs might land a bid for the player in the summer.
A product of the Manchester United academy, he has played for the likes of Stockport Country, Grimsby Town, Shrewsbury Town before joining Sheffield United in 2018.
If there is a thing we can understand from the interest these clubs have on Dean, it is that he has been fantastic this season in the EFL Championship for Sheffield United. While Bayern Munich have Manuel Neuer in the department, Juventus look to be a greener pasture if he wants to more minutes. However, it remains to be seen where he will end up joining. Will Manchester United convince the player? or either of these four teams sign him? or perhaps a team not even mentioned here? only time will tell.
