Serie-A giants Juventus are interested to sign French defender Tanguy Nianzou from La Liga outfit Sevilla.
After spending some time in the academy of FC Epinay Athletico, Senart-Moissay and Fontainebleau, Tanguy Nianzou joined the youth setup of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
He then graduated from the PSG academy and was promoted to the main team. The defender stayed one season in Paris before joining Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
Nianzou played two seasons in Germany and failed to establish himself as a starter in the Bayern Munich squad. So finally the defender joined La Liga side Sevilla in the summer transfer window of 2022, Nianzou has represented France in many youth matches. He was a part of the French u-17 team that finished third in 2019.
Juventus Plotting a Move for Nianzou
Now according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus want to bolster their defense with the arrival of Tanguy Nianzou from Sevilla.
After dominating the Serie-A for over a decade, Juventus have failed to even reach the top three in their last term. They have got a poor start this season too. Allegri’s side have managed to win only six out of their first twelve matches. With twenty-two points, they are currently in the seventh position in the table.
Their performance in the UEFA Champions League has been even worse. The Bianconeri lost five out of their six group league matches. As a result, they have been knocked out of the UCL and will take part in the Europa League, later this season.
Now the Juventus management understands their position very well. They want to bolster their squad in the next few windows with the arrival of quality players.
20-year-old Tanguy Nianzou is currently one of the best young defenders in the world. According to reports Juventus want to add him as a long-term option. But signing him will not be an easy task for the Bianconeri.
Sevilla lost two of their main defenders at the start of their season. And then they signed Nianzou in a starter role. So far the defender has been very solid. He has a long contract with Sevilla which runs until 2027.
So Juventus will have to pay a lot of money to secure his signings. Now with struggling with financial issues, they will have to offload a few players first before making any nig offers to the Spanish side.
Juventus will face Inter Milan in their next match.
