Juventus find Dani’s replacement in Arsenal defender

Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin has emerged as a top priority for Max Allegri’s side to replace Dani Alves.

According to the reports by Italian news website Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus have contacted Bellerin’s representatives to discuss a possible transfer.

The transfer talks are in very early stages right now and it will be difficult for Juventus to convince Wenger to let one of his top players leave.

The Spaniard was a part of famous La Masia at Barcelona before his move to Arsenal in 2011. He spent a few years in Arsenal’s academy and became Wenger’s first choice from the 2014-15 season.

The 22-year old has become a world-class defender at Emirates Stadium and is one of the most wanted men in Europe. The Catalan club pursued Bellerin for 2 to 3 transfer windows but couldn’t get him back. Juventus can also expect same stubbornness in their pursuit as well.

Juventus, who want to find a replacement for Dani Alves, signed the Brazilian from Barcelona last season. He played a crucial role is Juve’s road to the Champions League final and Seria A success last season. But the defender left Italy this season for a move to PSG to reunite with Neymar.

Max Allegri has Mattia De Sciglio, who was transferred from AC Milan this season and Stephan Lichtsteiner to fill the right-back position. Sciglio spent almost 6 weeks on the sidelines due to his injury against Barcelona in matchday 1 of Champions League. With Lichtsteiner on the wrong side of 30, Juventus need to find a new right-back. And who better than Hector Bellerin?

Juventus are currently 2nd in Seria A, one point behind Napoli. They will take on Sampdoria immediately after the international break.

Author’s Take:

Hector Bellerin has become an important player at Arsenal in very less time. His speed is his biggest strength and defender is always quick enough to halt the counter-attack. His runs in the right side of attack and crosses in the box are his biggest attributes going forward.

He will be a great addition to Juventus side but Arsenal will lose one of their key players if the move goes forward. It will be interesting to see his stand on the move as he recently rejected his childhood club to stay at Arsenal.
