The Serie A giants are chasing after a Champions League crown and believe that this Barcelona star could make the difference in the crucial stages after January.
Juventus made six crucial signings this summer which includes bringing in Mattia Perin, Leonardo Bonucci, Joao Cancelo, Emre Can, Douglas Costa and the great Cristiano Ronaldo. All this to make sure that they have a side capable of winning their first Champions League crown since the last time they did so, in the 1995/96 season. However, now it looks like Massimiliano Allegri has plans to add yet another star in the winter window and it’s a Barcelona man.
Barcelona needed to sign reinforcements over the and thus they brought in the likes of Arthur Melo, Clement Lenglet, Malcom, and of course Arturo Vidal. But while the others have all been given a chance to make an impact for the La Liga giants, Vidal has struggled to get game time making just 15 appearances, with most of them coming off the bench.
This alongside rumours of Vidal being unhappy with his current situation at Barcelona has lead to complications about his move there in the first place. However, reports from Calciomercato have revealed that Juventus want to bring the defensive star back to Turin, with the club looking to add reinforcements for their push into the Champions League finals.
Vidal had an excellent time at Juventus making just over 170 appearances for the Serie A giants, winning four Sucdetti and two Italian Super Cups, scoring 48 goals in the process. However, when his playing reduced under Massimiliano Allegri and Bayern Munich came calling, the Chilean left and went on to make an even bigger impact in the Bundesliga.
While he did struggle in his last two seasons, Vidal’s performances were key to Bayern Munich dominating the Bundesliga even after Pep Guardiola left. He is a massive presence in midfield and both his energy and combativeness, allows him to be forever involved in the action.
Bringing in Arturo Vidal would be a brilliant move by Juventus, as it allows them to add a battling midfielder on the cheap, but given that he has just moved to Barcelona there is a small chance that the reigning La Liga Champions will let him go. After all, Barcelona are also chasing after that elusive Champions League crown this season and are among the favourites to win it.
