Juventus wants to revamp their squad after yet another disappointing season in terms of Europe. The Old lady even lost the Serie A title to Inter Milan last season. The club is currently linked with Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Juventus finished at fourth position in Serie A last season. Although the club could manage to earn only 78 points last season with a 13 point gap with the champions Inter Milan. In the wake of such a disappointing season, the club management has made the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as the manager.
Juventus has had a long season since they were even in the Super League negotiations, which turned catastrophic for them. Not only to them, but all the clubs who were involving themselves in it lost respect in the football community.
Now the club wants to focus on revamping their squad, especially their midfield. Nevertheless, the Italian giants would want to come back fresh and stronger for the new season. Their primary target is to win the UEFA Champions League. However, with losing the Serie A title to Inter Milan last season, they should focus more on regaining that.
Juventus might make a move for Tiemoue Bakayoko
According to a report from Todo Fichajes, Juventus might be looking to move for Tiemoue Bakayoko. It is because the possibility of reaching a deal with Sassuolo for Manuel Locatelli is fading away with time.
Tiemoue Bakayoko is the plan B for the club’s ambitions regarding the midfield. Undoubtedly, the club is very focused on bringing a new midfielder. Plan B could soon come to effect, since there is not much time left in the transfer window.
Sassuolo are not budging down to other clubs for their star player. Juventus want the player but the club is not willing to pay the asking price for Manuel Locatelli.
According to some reports, Arsenal has already made an offer to Sassuolo. The offer is tempting, but Locatelli is holding out for a move to Juventus. Despite that, Sassuolo are not ready to let go of their star player for anything less.
While Bakayoko has been traveling to different clubs on loan since his arrival at Chelsea. The Frenchman made moves to AC Milan, Napoli and AS Monaco in the past seasons. He has ample amount of experience of playing in Serie A which is why Juventus might move for him.
Other clubs also keen on the Frenchman
Various reports suggest that many Italian clubs as well as some French clubs are keen to sign him. AC Milan and Napoli are also keen on him. This could mean more competition for another target of Juventus.
Tiemoue Bakayoko has not been impressive at any of the clubs he was loaned out to. Even experts regarded him as the worst signing of Chelsea in the recent years. Nevertheless, the Chelsea player is entering into his final year on contract at Stamford Bridge. This could mean that Bakayoko would be available at a cut price deal.
But Juventus has to move quickly since there is little time left for the closure of the transfer window. Approaching deadline day will mean that the clubs would have to face inflated prices. And this could jeopardize another deal for the Italian giants.
