Juventus have been a model club in recent years, in terms of how the club is run, and now they are going all out to claim the elusive European crown.
Under the reign of Maximiliano Allegri, The Old Lady have achieved incredible things both on and off the field. The A 72.24 win percentage during his time in charge at Turin is a testimony to his success. This is also down to the commendable recruitment by the club. The Serie A champions have splashed out the cash to bring in Ronaldo but have constantly snapped up players like Pirlo, Pogba and Khedira on a free transfer. Next in this illustrious line is a certain Premier League star plying his trade at red half of North London.
Aaron Ramsey’s new home?
Juventus Chief Football Officer Fabio Paratici confirmed Juve’s interest in Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey. While attending the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, he was interviewed by Sky Sports and quizzed about the Welsh international.
“He’s an excellent player, for years he’s been performing at a top level. His contract is expiring and we are always attentive to the potential developments. So he falls in that category. Will he join us in summer? That remains to be seen. At the moment he’s an Arsenal player, certainly, we aren’t the only ones following him,” said Juventus’ Sporting Director.
Ramsey is expected to leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season after talks broke down over a new contract for the Wales international.
Unai Emery on Ramsey’s future
Arsenal coach Unai Emery does not expect Aaron Ramsey to leave in January. Ramsey could attempt to force through a move before the end of the season, but Emery does not think that is going to happen.
“At the moment he is working with us and I think yes [he will stay until the end of the season],” the Spaniard told reporters. He worked very well in Liverpool. Today [Tuesday] he played 15 minutes and he scored. He helped us for confidence and to earn a good result. I want from him this focus when he is playing.”
Aaron Ramsey plays like a man that doesn’t care about stats, only about getting involved in the action. This certainly fits the Juventus squad who possess the like of Ronaldo and Dybala to create the headlines. This might not be the most talked about signing but they might be the final push the team needs to claim a Champions League winners medal.
