Juventus Transfer News: The Old Lady have offered a €75m deal to Fiorentina for Dusan Vlahovic. The deal has reportedly been agreed with Fiorentina as Juventus now look to agree on personal terms with the player.
Dusan Vlahovic has been an Arsenal target since the start of the January transfer window. Arsenal even made a bid of €60m to Fiorentina for a striker owing to the same.
Fiorentina accepted the bid, but as per reports, Dusan Vlahovic has not been very keen to move to the North London club. As per the Serbian’s representatives, he wants to move to a team that will fight for trophies.
Arsenal currently are not in this condition at the moment. Hence, Dusan Vlahovic and his representatives have not given a positive reply to the North London club.
Dusan Vlahovic looks likely to move to Juventus
Dusan Vlahovic is one of the hottest prospects in world football at the moment. The 21-year-old announced himself by scoring 21 goals in the 2020/21 Serie A campaign in the last season.
The Serbian has since then proved that he was certainly not a one-season wonder. Dusan Vlahovic has scored 17 goals in 21 Serie A games for Fiorentina in the 2021/22 season. To add to this, he also has 7 goals in 14 appearances for Serbia, helping take them to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Juventus, just like Arsenal, are themselves short of strikers. The Old Lady let Cristiano Ronaldo depart in August last year. Following this, they completed the signing of Moise Kean. But Kean has not been able to fill the boots of the Portuguese icon.
To add to this, Alvaro Morata has also failed to find a form for Juventus this season. The Atletico Madrid player is currently on loan at Juventus and has scored just 5 goals in 22 appearances for the Serie A giants.
Why do Fiorentina want to leave Vlahovic?
Dusan Vlahovic has refused to commit his future to Fiorentina. To add to this, his representatives have also ignored the approaches of La Viola. Hence the Serie A club had to put the striker on the transfer market.
Before the Juventus deal, Fiorentina’s sporting director Daniele Prade had said, “He has a significant valuation, above 70 million euros, with no players in exchange or payments spread over years. We received some very substantial offers, but we never got a response from his representatives.”
Dusan Vlahovic had reportedly himself set his sights on Juventus before the bid even came. Hence, it is expected that the deal would be completed in a matter of days.
