Juventus Transfer News: After intense speculation, the transfer saga of Dusan Vlahovic is over. The Serbian striker will join Juventus in the coming days after a deal is finalized with Fiorentina.
The Serie A giants lost out on football icon Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer. The Portuguese striker moved back to Manchester United in the Premier League, hence taking a chunk of goals along with him.
Owing to this, Juventus have struggled to find form in Serie A this season. The Massimiliano Allegri-led side could not find a proper replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer. To add to this, a slow start in Serie A means that the club is outside the top-4.
Hence, the Old Lady were on the lookout for a striker in the January transfer window. The Italian giants have Alvaro Morata and Moise Kean in their ranks. But both the strikers have struggled for form this season.
Juventus sign Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic

As per Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A giants have completed the signing of Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic. Following this, the striker will join Juventus in the next couple of days.
Juventus have reportedly paid €75 million to Fiorentina in transfer fee for the Serbian striker. The personal terms between Vlahovic and Juventus are also said to have been completed.
Dusan Vlahovic will earn €7 million per season during his tenure with the Old Lady. The medical will be completed in the next few days, following which the transfer will be made official by both clubs.
In Vlahovic, Juventus have signed a player with proven pedigree in the Italian league. Having joined Fiorentina in 2018, the Serbian has scored 49 goals in 108 appearances for the Viola.
The Serbian’s rise came in the last two seasons. The striker scored 21 goals in 37 appearances for Fiorentina in the 2020/21 Serie A season. To add to this, Vlahovic already has 17 goals in 21 Serie A games this season.
Dusan Vlahovic last played for Fiorentina in the 6-0 win against Genoa on 18th January. He has since contacted Covid-19 and is currently in quarantine after testing positive for the virus.
Arsenal’s bid for Vlahovic officially ends
The Gunners were in hot pursuit of signing Dusan Vlahovic in January. But their bid for bringing the Serbian to North London would officially end now.
Arsenal had even made a bid of €60 million that was accepted by Fiorentina. But Dusan Vlahovic and his representatives refused a move to the Premier League club. Instead, the Serbian had already set his sights on Juventus, hence making a move to the Serie A side.
