After dominating the Serie-A for over a decade, Juventus are currently going through a transition period. The Bianconeri failed to finish in the top three in the Italian league during their last two terms. And this time around they have got a very poor start.
Juventus have managed to win only five out of their first eleven matches in the Serie-A. They have gathered only nineteen points so far and are positioned in the eighth place at the Serie-A table.
Their performance in the European competition has been even worse. Juventus lost four out of their matches in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. As a result, they have been knocked out from the group stage and their participation in Europa is still not decided.
Juventus wants to bolster their midfield
Now according to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus want to do a major overhaul to their midfield. They have targeted quite a few midfielders whom they want to sign.

The Biancoenri signed Paul Pogba and Leandro Parades at the start of this season to strengthen their midfield. Pogba is yet to play a single minute and is currently nursing an injury. Meanwhile, Parades has failed to deliver consistently good performances so far.
With their recent struggles, Juventus management are currently under huge pressure from the supporters. So they are ready to take a few drastic decisions and revamping the midfield is one of them.
The first midfielder that is on Juventus’ list is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic of Lazio. The Serbian midfielder is currently one of the players in the Serie-A and is valued at over €100 million. He is also targetted by many other high club and Juventus’s financial woes makes this transfer very difficult.
The second one is Houssem Aouar of Lyon. the 24-year-old playmaker was on the verge of leaving Lyon during the transfer window. But his club Lyon failed to reach an agreement with many clubs. This shows that Juventus will have to offer a big chunk of money to get the French midfielder.
The final player on Juventus’ list is Sassuolo midfielder Davide Fratessi. 23-year-old Italian international Frattessi broke into the starting line-up of Sassuolo during the last season. Since then, he has not looked back. The midfielder has been the best player for Sassuolo in recent weeks. He will cost Juventus around €35 million.
Now before making any signings, the first thing that Juventus will have to do is generate some money through player sales. And if they fail to do so, they are not going to be able to sign any more players.
Juventus will play against Leece in their next match.
