Retention players list are out and KKR trolled CSK on Twitter after the retention of the New Zealand wicketkeeper Tim Seifert.
The fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) left a few months away to commence off. All the franchises of the league started to work on their strategies and other management things for the upcoming tournament.
Before hosting the auction for the season BCCI asked all the teams to submit a retention players list to the board. Almost all the franchises agreed with the announcement and fulfill the demand of the board.
Some of the teams like Mumbai Indians (MI) retained almost all the players and leave only a few for the auction. Whereas, teams like Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), etc. had released more players from the squad.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also comes in the huge number of players releasing the list. As they had discharged the players like Siddhesh lad, Manimaran Siddharth, Tom Banton, Chris Green, and Nikhil Naik.

Moreover, Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) coach Stephen Fleming was eyeing on the New Zealand wicketkeeper batsmen Tim Seifert for signing him during the auction. But the twist in the game took place as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) retained him and didn’t let him go to auction.
CSK coach praised Tim Seifert

Taking the advantage of the situation Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) trolled Chennai Super Kings (CSK) hilariously at Twitter. They just posted the meme through their Twitter account by adding Stephen Fleming’s comment regarding Tim Seifert.
Looking to Tim Seifert’s performance against Pakistan in the T20 series can’t stop Stephen Fleming from praising him. As he had scored the runs with the average strike rate of more than 100 and the highest score of not out 84 while chasing 164 runs was awesome.
At that time Stephen Fleming made the indirect offer to Tim Seifert to play from Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He said, “There’s a team in yellow that might have a look at you (Seifert) as well. Not just Brendon McCullum’s team, there are other teams out there.”
Keeping in mind Stephen Fleming’s comment, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) trolled him through official social media accounts like Twitter and Instagram. Fans also responded very actively to this tweet from the KKR.
They posted the meme-like photo of Stephen Fleming and Brendon Mccullum. Also captioned, ” Dear Flem, Sorry to disappoint. We are keeping him. #IPLretention.” This hilarious reply from KKR goes viral within a seconds on social media.
Here is the KKR’s tweet:
Before then, Tim Seifert didn’t play any single match for KKR in the previous season. As they choose Dinesh Karthik as their first-choice wicketkeeper for the whole season. Hope to get him a chance during the IPL 2021.
