Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has shown a brimful of praise on Reds’ midfielder Naby Keita who remained out of the squad due to injury concerns.
It has been not an ideal sort of start to Liverpool career for 23-year-old Guinean midfielder Naby Keita who arrived at Red Half of Merseyside for about 50 million in the preceding summer transfer window. Injury issues have derailed his early Liverpool days. But however, Jurgen Klopp has now confirmed Reds’ no.8 is fully fit and ready for action.
Naby Keita, no doubt has a huge potential and played as a box-to-box midfielder for Reds in first 3-4 outings. He wears prestigious no.8 jersey which has a great importance in Liverpool history as it was the last wore by their legendary captain Steven Gerrard. Keita was outstanding for his former side RB Leipzig and there are lots of expectations from him this season. Keita’s return provides much more relief for the boss as Reds’ tough run gets commenced on Wednesday night when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the crucial ChampionsLeague fixture.
While confirming Keita’s fitness Jurgen Klopp insisted,
“He is an outstanding player,” Klopp said told a news conference ahead of a crunch meeting with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. “I don’t read English press but this week I caught a headline of something I said, which I did not mean it like that.
“Naby was not average since he came in. The situation after he got injured was average because he has to get fit again, but the start was brilliant.
“He will be a massive player in the future for Liverpool and he is already.
“He is now really fit, he looks sharp in training, but as it is at a club like ours sometimes you have to wait a bit longer for the moment.
“And when you get the moment, then you have to be ready. That’s how it is.
“He is an outstanding player and we are happy to have him.”
Keita’s return from injury is a massive boost for the Reds. He is strong and smart midfield cameo and could uplift a pivotal role in Reds’ tough run of fixtures. He will provide a much-needed energy in Reds’ midfield and handles Klopp a variety of chances central of the park.
