Klopp speaks on Salah future amid interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona

It is been quite a journey for Mohammed Salah. This is not Salah’s first stint in the Premier League. He was a part of the Chelsea squad from 2015. The player was sent on a couple of loan stints with Florentina and Roma.

But finally, after a couple of seasons, Chelsea decided to sell him permanently to Roma. Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are the two players who would be Chelsea’s biggest regret.

Mo Salah made his move from Roma to Liverpool in 2017 under the leadership of Jurgen Klopp. It was the start of a new dream for the Egyptians as well as Liverpool. In his very first season with Liverpool Salah exploded and was the top scorer in the Premier League.

He had 32 goals and 11 assists to his name. Salah won the Golden Boot in the 17-18 season along with the 19-20 season where he shared the trophy with Aubameyang and Salah’s teammate Sadio Mane.

Barca and Real Madrid could land Liverpool's Mo Salah

With Jurgen Klopp as a manager as leaders like Salah and Mane Liverpool were bound to achieve success. The club went on to win the Champions League and also won the Premier League trophy. A long lost dream of Liverpool fans that finally came true.

But now there are some rumors saying that Salah might consider leaving Liverpool. Liverpool boss has opened up on Salah’s transfer rumors and he believes that there isn’t much truth to them.

Liverpool vs Wolves Preview

Recently there has been news flying around that Salah is open to a move away from Liverpool. Salah did give a statement but it was it is more a case of twisting and reinterpreting Salah’s words.

Salah basically said that you never know what the future holds. But he emphasized winning the Premier League and Champions League with the club again. The contract extension is something which is in the club’s hands but he personally wants to break records at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp also gave his thoughts on the matter. This was his statement as per reports from the Express, “We never speak [about contracts],” Klopp told reporters ahead of Liverpool’s Boxing Day clash against West Bromwich Albion.

“Mo is in a good mood and moment, shape and that is the most important. You would have seen him laughing a lot [today].”The rest is nice for you to write but internally, nothing really [to say].”

Salah’s current contract is till 2023. While there is a lot of time left generally clubs start talking about a new contract when the players had 2-3 years left. It shows how important a player is to the club and makes no mistake Mo Salah is pivotal for Liverpool.

He is at the top of the league in terms of goals scored currently in the Premier League and it looks like this is gonna be another Salah special season. It would be better for Liverpool if they can tie down their key man to another contract.
