What’s next for RCB?
Royal Challengers Bangalore comprehensively defeated Kolkata Knight Riders at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. RCB bowlers stuck to their line and length and made the game tough for KKR batsmen who hardly showed any intent to score runs.
KKR batsmen ran out of ideas to RCB’s tactical approach to the game. The batting side started losing wickets while also consuming more dot balls. Eoin Morgan top-scored for KKR with 30 off 34 balls. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers for RCB.
The fast bowler picked three wickets in his four-over bowling spell. Siraj leaked just 8 runs and bowled two maiden overs as well. Other than him, Yuzvendra Chahal bowled really well. He was also one of the most economical bowlers for RCB.
The wrist-spinner picked 2/15 in four overs. KKR managed to post just 84/8 in 20 overs. In reply, RCB chased down the target in 13.3 overs. Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch departed for 25 and 16 runs respectively. Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Virat Kohli scored 21 and 18 as RCB beat KKR by 8 wickets. Siraj was named the Player of the Match.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have nothing to worry about at the moment. Currently, they are second in the points table with 14 points. They won 7 games and lost just three. They are one of the top contenders to make it to the playoffs. Their aim is to win the title.
