Kurt Angle questions the possibility of him squaring off against John Cena in a singles battle
Ever since Kurt Angle’s return to WWE as the RAW General Manager, there have been endless speculations regarding his health and in-ring return. The WWE Universe witnessed “The Olympic Gold Medalist” in action at TLC and Survivor Series in multi-man matches.
The reports concerning Angle’s medical tests have been skeptical and it is unclear whether he can handle a singles match. But, the Hall Of Famer wasn’t shy to tease a potential match against the 16-time world champion through a re-tweet to WWE Universe after they had a posted a shot of Angle facing off Cena at Survivor Series.
In the tweet, Kurt Angle questioned the possibility of him squaring off against John Cena in a singles battle and ended it by saying “We will see”. The intriguing factor behind the match is that John Cena and Kurt Angle had a sensational rivalry in the past which included stellar matches, unforgettable rap-offs, as well as memorable moments such as Cena tapping out to the ankle lock.
Apart from that Kurt Angle was John Cena’s first-ever opponent in the WWE when he made his debut 15 years ago on a taping of SmackDown. The strings between them continue to add up as John Cena was the one who inducted Kurt Angle into the Hall Of Fame class of 2017.

It was evident from the first time they locked up that these guys had amazing chemistry, the rivalry between them was instrumental in their careers. It would be interesting to see where the WWE wedges this match considering Angle’s potential feud with Triple H and Cena’s busy movie schedule. If the match would indeed take place, it would be a perfect opportunity for the WWE to turn Cena heel which has been long overdue.
