Arsene Wenger has urged Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe to join a club where he is guaranteed to get enough game time to play.
When asked where he thinks Mbappe will end up, Wenger said: “Somewhere where he is sure to play.”
“He thinks he needs to play, but I’d say the boy has made enough of an impression to be sure that a club who spends £100 million for you gives you the red carpet treatment. Nobody will buy a player for a £100m and say, ‘Come on, sit in the stands.'”
“You have the generation of players now between 24 and 28 years old who should come in next for the Ballon d’Or,” he said. “You have Neymar in there certainly, maybe [Antoine] Griezmann can come in, you have Mbappe.
He further added, “Mbappe is 18 so that will last a bit longer. A bit too early, too premature to say that he will do that but, yes, you have these kind of players. You have Ousmane Dembele, who I believe is an exceptional talent. These kind of players.”
