La Liga News: Paris Saint-Germain will go through massive changes in the summer. Zinedine Zidane might replace Mauricio Pochettino as coach next season. This news come after Kylian Mbappe agreed to a new three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
La Liga issued a statement calling the arrangement “scandalous” and promising to expose PSG to UEFA and the EU. Real Madrid had been courting Mbappe for years. However, the Ligue 1 champions confirmed his decision before PSG’s final match of the season against Metz.
La Liga has issued an exceptional statement expressing their displeasure. The statement came after Mbappe signed a lucrative new contract with the French champions.
The Spanish governing body questioned finances and believed that the 2018 World Cup winner should not have been re-signed.

“Faced with Kylian Mbappé’s possible announcement of staying at Paris Saint-Germain, LaLiga wishes to state that this type of agreement threatens the economic sustainability of European football in the medium term.
“It puts hundreds of thousands of jobs and sporting integrity at risk. It’s not only about European competitions, but also from our domestic leagues,” the statement read.
“It’s scandalous that a club like PSG, which lost more than 220 million euros last season after accumulating losses of 700 million euros in recent seasons, can face an agreement of these characteristics. It cannot happen without their wage bill being jeopardized.”
“LaLiga will submit a protest against PSG with UEFA, French administrative and tax authorities, and European Union competent organisations.”
What did AL-Khelaifi and Mbappe say?
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said of the contract, which was announced on Saturday night, “I have fantastic news to announce – Kylian Mbappe is going to stay until 2025.“
“I’m incredibly thrilled to continue the experience here at Paris Saint-Germain,” Mbappe said. He was standing on a stage on the Parc des Princes pitch and carrying a shirt with 2025 on the back. “I will remain in Paris, my hometown. I’m hoping to continue winning trophies here.”
The Qatari-owned team was desperate to have the superstar sign for them before the World Cup this year. With his contract expiring on June 30, he was given a massive re-signing incentive of up to €150 million (£126.9 million) and an annual salary of €50 million (£42.3 million).
According to the deal, sporting director Leonardo will be fired. Mbappe wants Pochettino to be replaced by his childhood idol Zidane. The Frenchman informed Florentino Perez that he will remain at the Parc des Princes just a month before his contract expires.
