Preview
It will be the second game for the Galle Gladiators. They played the opening game against Jaffna Kings. The Gladiators won the match by 54 runs.
Kings won the toss and elected to field. Danushka Gunathilaka and Kusal Mendis opened the innings for Gladiators. The duo couldn’t do much as Suragna Lakmal dismissed Gunathilaka for eight runs in the first over.
Mohammad Hafeez and Ben Dunk, who came to bat next, couldn’t add much to the total. Gladiators made only 43 runs and lost three wickets by the end of the powerplay. In the 12th over, Wanindu Hasaranga dismissed Dunk for 17 runs off 17 balls.

Gladiators’ bowlers didn’t give a single chance to the batters and bundled them up for just 110 runs in 18.4 overs. Samit Patel picked three wickets in four overs and gave away 21 runs. He won the player of the match award.
