Laziest XI of T20 World Cup 2021

Cricket is the most popular sport in India. It is also the second-most followed sport in the world behind football. The first international cricket match was played between Canada and the United States in 1844.

Since then, the sport has started to attract fans from all over the world. Today, the sport comes with different types of formats namely Test, ODI, T20I respectively.

Earlier, cricketers drew praises for their performances despite being lazy on the field. For instance, Inzamam-ul-Haq, the former Pakistan captain was the laziest cricket in his playing days.

However, fans from all across the world liked and admired him. But that hasn’t been the case in 2021. Fans are openly pointing their fingers at the laziest players on social media.

Social media has already seen several cricketers who are being targeted for some reason. With T20 World Cup scheduled to commence from October 17, we will take a look at the laziest XI.

1. Rohit Sharma

It’s no secret that Rohit is one of the best white-ball openers in the world. Although he has been pretty good with the bat, he needs to work on his fielding, which is his weaker area.

2. Chris Gayle

The Universe Boss is by far the best T20 batsman in the world without any doubt. He hesitates when it comes to taking singles. However, the sixer king makes it up by hitting sixes.

3. Mohammad Shahzad

Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Shahzad comes next on the list of laziest cricketers. He has entertained the fans with his attacking style of play. Shahzad scored 1860 runs at a superb strike rate of 134.01.

4. Soumya Sarkar

Bangladeshi international Soumya Sarkar shot into prominence for his incredible talent. However, he failed to remain consistent. He scored 1109 runs at a poor batting average of 18.8 in 62 games and took 9 wickets.

5. Azam Khan

Pakistan international Azam Khan hogged the limelight for his style of batting. However, he came under fire for his overweight issues. He is part of the Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup.

6. Khushdil Shah

Pakistani batsman Khushdil Shah is known for his fearless batting approach. He is part of the Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE and Oman.

7. Adil Rashid

England leg-spinner has been Eoin Morgan’s go-to-man in white-ball cricket. The spinner has ensured to deliver the goods when it mattered the most. He is part of the 15-member England squad for the upcoming marquee event.

8. Oshane Thomas

The West Indies pacer has played 17 games wherein he took 19 wickets to his name. He may be only 24 years old but has probably failed to live up to his reputation in fielding. This made him one of the laziest cricketers.

9. Tabraiz Shamsi

From being just a normal spinner to becoming the No.1 bowler in T20Is, the 31-year-old Tabraiz Shami has indeed come a long way. The chinaman bowler took 49 wickets in 42 games so far.

10. Todd Astle

The New Zealand leggie is another laziest cricketer on our list. The 35-year-old started getting chances from the last year or so. New Zealand included 3 spinners in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the UAE.

11. Hamid Hassan

Afghanistan came under fire for adding old and unfit players to their 15-member squad. One of them was paceman Hamid Hassan. He is 34 years old.
