Lazio’s President Provides an Update on Sergej Milinković-Savić’s Future

Lazio news: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is among the most talented midfielders of his generation.

The Serbia international has played a key role in the Eagles’ success in recent years. He joined the Italian club from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk in the summer window of 2015.

While speaking to II Messaggero (via Fabrizio Romano), Lazio president Lolito opened up on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s future. He said: “I’ve no agreement with his agent to sell Sergej to Juventus or any other club in January”

He also set a price tag on the Serbia international: “Price tag for Milinković is no longer €100m — his value is €120m now”.

Savic is currently among the most sought-after midfielders in Europe, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Juventus having all shown interest in signing him. However, the Eagles’ whopping asking price could force them to move away from the deal.

Lazio skipper Ciro Immobile heaped praise on the Serbia international. He compared him to Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne. Speaking to the media, he said (via Sportskeeda): “Trust me, Sergej Milinković-Savić is magic. He’s on the same level of Kevin de Bruyne.”
