Leicester City vs Man United: Preview, Line-up and Prediction

The Red Devils will be traveling to King Power Stadium to face Leicester City on the boxing day action. These two Premier League clubs are in second and third position respectively in the table. It’ll be an interesting contest as it’ll help them with three important points to finish at the top before New Year.

United will be keen to grab all three points amidst a busy schedule for them with back to back games. While Brandon Rodgers has done well with his concept of ‘Do or Die’ with zero draws in 14 games.

Analysis

The Foxes have lost more games in the top five positions than other sides. However, Brendan’s side has more wins than their just like league leaders Liverpool with nine wins. While United have managed eight wins in their thirteen league fixtures.

Leicester City comes into this game with four wins in their last five games and the former Liverpool boss will be keen to carry forward the momentum to snatch another Premier League title for the Foxes. But, Ole will be confident as United has been successful against Leicester in the last four Premier League games.

The veteran English forward could be the hero for the foxes yet again against United in their home. Vardy has been a stand-out performer for Leicester City for seasons and his stats at King Power Stadium will reflect his effectiveness.

The 33-year-old striker has contributed 13 goals in 15 appearances for Leicester City in all competitions this term. Barnes and Maddison should link-up well with Vardy in order to grab all three points against United.

Marcus Rashford

The English international is expected to get his name to the scoresheet against the Foxes. The goalscorer has been brilliant in front of goal for the Red Devils this season. His form in Champions League group stage games was outstanding.

Ole will be expecting Rashford to set-up to clinch the top spot before the new year arrives. The forward has twelve goals across all competitions for United this season.

Final scoreline Prediction

The game is expected to end up in a draw with both clubs playing to their potential. United and Leicester are both in the top three and this result will be crucial for both sides. The final scoreline might read 2-2 at the stroke of the final whistle.
