Jesse Lingard is a man in demand. The Manchester United star needs to make a decision about his future. West Ham United are reportedly trying to convince Lingard for a move to the club.

But according to reports, Lingard is keeping an eye on Manchester United. The player’s decision will depend upon Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

The ex-Manchester City youth player has been linked with a move to Manchester United for a long time. The Red Devils are in negotiations with the German club and want him at the club before the start of the next season.

Lingard reportedly wants to stay and fight for his place. But that could change with the arrival of Sancho. With the arrival of the Dortmund star, Lingard will be restricted to the bench.

West ham target Jesse Lingard

“Regular football is the most important thing for me. After going on loan and getting a good run in the team, you started to see the real me, with the goals and the assists.”

“I’ve never doubted my ability, I’ve always believed in myself. I spoke to the manager [Solskjaer] in pre-season and said, ‘I need game time’. He said, ‘We can discuss it December time’, and we spoke again and he agreed to let me go on loan.”

Currently, Lingard’s priority is getting regular minutes. The 28-year-old needs minutes on the pitch to continue his sensational form and being a bench warmer at United like Van De Beek is obviously not his first choice.

West Ham manager David Moyes has made Lingard a priority signing. He scored 9 goals and assisted 4 in just 16 games during his loan spell with the Hammers. The fans want him signed and are hoping the Red Devils spend big this summer and sign Sancho.

Sancho to Manchester United

Sancho to Manchester United, Should Lingard move to West Ham?

The Red Devils are very close to signing Sancho from Dortmund. They have reportedly offered £80million for the winger, but Dortmund are holding out for more. Dortmund want £8.5million more for the English star and if United were to meet that amount then the deal would be done.

Manchester United signing Sancho for less than his last year’s transfer price is a win for the club. The manager wants him and so do the fans. Signing him would make fans happy and bring the owners out of the limelight. The Glazers have been in the limelight for some time now. First, it was the Super League and then the criticism for not strengthening the team since they have bought the club.

The only person who will not be happy is Jesse Lingard. He had finally regained his past form and was hoping to be offered another chance. But it seems Sancho’s arrival is pretty much confirmed and Lingard will be pushed out of the club.

It makes us sad to see him pushed out like this. We hope Lingard moves to West Ham and continues playing in the Premier League.
