Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane has praised Argentine footballer Lionel Messi after their big victory against FC Barcelona. The forward has also named Argentina as one of the favourites for the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022.
One of the best players of all time, Lionel Messi had to wait 16 years for winning his first major title with his national team Argentina.
Messi’s moment finally came last year when Argentine defeated Brazil in the finals of Copa America with a solitary goal scored by Angel Di Maria. When the match ended, the Argentine captain broke into tears. Throughout the tournament, Messi played superb football. He won the top scorer award, highest assist provider award and even the Most Valuable Player award.

After this, Messi added another international trophy when they won against Euro Champions Italy in the Finalissima. Although Messi did not score any goals, the Argentine forward had two assists and was named the man of the match.
Sadio Mane Praises Lionel Messi
Now Messi will lead Argentine in the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. Argentina are currently one of the most in-form teams in the world.
They are unbeaten in the last 35 matches and are considered one of the favourites for the World Cup. Senegal forward Sadio mane thinks the same.
While speaking on this, Sadio mane told (via Vermouth Deportivo), “Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France, England, I think there are few teams that can win the World Cup.”
Similar to Argentina, Lionel Messi is also in great form. The Argentine forward has scored eleven goals and provided thirteen assists in the PSG shirt this season. On top of that, he has netted nine goals in his last three appearances for Argentina.
He is Argentina’s biggest hope in the tournament and his form will decide their performance in the tournament. This is also going to be his last appearance in the perennial event. So Messi is hugely dedicated to winning the only trophy that has eluded him so far.
Meanwhile speaking about the Argentine forward, Sadio mane praised him by saying, “He’s an incredible player.”
Earlier in the day, Mane’s Bayern Munich defeated Lionel Messi’s former club Barcelona in Camp Nou. mane scored the opening goal of the match and was a constant threat on the left wing.
Sadio Mane and Senegal are also going to be a part of the Qatar World Cup. They are the defending champions of the Africa Cup of Nations and one of the best teams in the world.
