Lionel Messi News: Lionel Messi has heaped praise on his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe, describing the Frenchman as a complete player.

Messi and Mbappe are club teammates since the former signed for PSG in the 2021 summer transfer window. The Argentine joined PSG on a two-year contract with the option for another year.

The two players have been together at the club level since. Both Mbappe and Messi have been impressive for PSG in the 22/23 season. After a rather difficult 21/22 season, Messi has looked back to his best at PSG this season.

Mbappe, who enjoyed a stellar campaign in the 21/22 season, has continued to maintain high standards for PSG in the ongoing season.

Messi has now lavished praise on Mbappe, labelling him as a complete player. The Argentine also said Mbappe will become among the best players in the years to come.

“Kylian is a different player, a beast who is very strong in one-on-one, who goes into space, who is very fast, who scores a lot of goals. He is a complete player and he has proved it for years, and in the years to come, he will certainly be among the best,” Messi told TUDN.

Meanwhile, PSG have had a stellar start to the 22/23 season. The French outfit are unbeaten so far this season. They began the season by thrashing Nantes 4-0 in the Trophee des Champions final.

PSG then kick-started their Ligue 1 campaign by cruising to a 5-0 win over Clermont Foot. The Parisians have so far played eight matches in the Ligue 1 this season, and have earned 22 points.

PSG have won seven of their matches in the Ligue 1 and dropped points in one match. That game they failed to secure a win came against AS Monaco, who held them to a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, PSG started their Champions League 22/23 campaign with a 2-1 win over Italian behemoths Juventus. Mbappe scored both of PSG’s goals in that match. PSG followed that up with a 3-1 win over Maccabi Haifa in their next game. Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar scored a goal each in that match.

Meanwhile, Messi has so far featured in 11 matches for PSG this season. And he has scored six goals for the French side while also making 8 assists.

Mbappe, meanwhile, has made 9 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions so far this season and has racked up 10 goals.
