It has been confirmed now that Merseyside outfit Liverpool have accepted a £15m offer from their Premier League rivals AFC Bournemouth, for England U-20 and U-21 international Jordon Ibe. The 20-year-old winger was not having the best of times at Anfield recently and did not play much under new boss Jurgen Klopp in the previous campaign, though Raheem Sterling and Lazar Markovic both left the Reds.
With a total of just 41 appearances in all competitions for the club last term and only 12 of them being starts, things did not look good for the young Englishman. It seems that the player does not have a future at the club and will now look to join The Cherries.
The attacker scored four times in the previous campaign, including a winner against Rubin Kazan in the Europa League and another to beat Stoke City in the League Cup.
The youngster has so far made 58 appearances at the club in total, since joining them from Wycombe Wanderers back in 2011.
Liverpool Echo adds that Ibe has been given the permission to leave and a move could be completed in the upcoming days, as talks are in progress.
Klopp had earlier completed the signing of Southampton winger Sadio Mane, which would have ensured that the German manager could afford to sell one of his stars this summer and it seems that Ibe is all set to leave.
It will be interesting to see what happens next for the player, who did depict some quality during his time with the Kop side.
