Liverpool Defender Virgil van Dijk Assures the Reds Will Bounce Back From Setbacks

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has insisted that the Reds will bounce back from the setbacks.

The Merseyside outfit has not had the ideal start to the 22/23 season and is languishing at ninth in the Premier League points table.

Liverpool have won just two of the seven matches they have so far played in the English top-flight this season. Jurgen Klopp’s side shared points in four matches and lost one game.

The Reds have so far earned 10 points from seven matches. They are 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal, who have played a game more.

Van Dijk admitted that Liverpool have had some setbacks this season but assured they will be back to their best.

He confessed Liverpool is not in the best form at the moment. However, the Dutch international noted they were playing for all the titles four months ago and promised they will get back to that form.

Consistency is the most difficult part of football,” Van Dijk said. “You have to do that together, and deal with setbacks together, and keep doing the same things you want to do. Obviously, we’ve had some setbacks, and it is difficult to react the right way if you are not in the best possible shape, all of us.

But I’m confident that we will be. What is it? Four months ago we were playing for all the titles, now we are not in the best moment…but we will get there.
