Liverpool eyes for Bayern Munich target as Wijnaldum replacement

Liverpool are looking towards signing a new midfielder as a vacant space might be on the way at the end of the season. Liverpool are watching over Florian Neuhaus for some time now and there are numerous reports suggest the German midfielder could be on his way to join Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are enjoying the best time of the Premier League as they sit sixth in the league table. Moreover, the German coach has given up his hopes of retaining the Premier League title and is more centered on finishing in the top fourth.

Liverpool want to sign a new midfielder ahead of the summer and Florian Neuhaus is one topping the list. It is according to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, that the German coach appears as a big admirer of the young midfielder. Thus Klopp might have his club ready to nab the quality.

Neuhaus is just 23, yet he has achieved great heights since breaking into the Borrusia Monchengladbach in 2017. His dazzling form has attracted attention not only from London but from Germany as well.

Neuhaus has been superb for Borussia Monchengladbach since 2017

Neuhaus targeted by Liverpool and other big clubs?

The German giants Borussia Dortmund were vying for his signature for a long but the interest is seen waning slowly with the passage of time. The interest has cooled in recent weeks after Borussia Dortmund have decided to appoint Gladbach manager Marco Rose as their new coach in the summer. On the other hand, Rose has stated that he will not appoint any player from his former team.

Bayern Munich were relatively giving hints towards the signing of 23-year-old German international. However, after sealing a deal for Dayot Upamecano on a five-year contract. Bayern are left with almost no-money or rather they would have to sanction the loan deal or go bankrupt for it.

Monchengladbach have asked for the activation of his €40 million release clause. Bayern on the other hand has Javi Martinez leaving the club and Corentin Tolisso is also lying somewhere on the edge. There is a chance that the club would be making a space. But it is more likely that Neuhaus would not be given a starting role.

Liverpool are preparing a life without Wijnaldum?

This makes Liverpool jump into the first position for Neuhaus signature. The club also prepares for a position that might get empty if Liverpool’s Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum denies signing a new deal with the club.

Georginio Wijnaldum is stalling on signing a new deal at Liverpool

Wijnaldum’s current deal expires at the end of the season. This makes the Dutchman free to negotiate with any foreign club since January. According to Spanish publication AS, Liverpool have tabled a three-year contract to die down the midfielder ace.

But the veteran is unwilling to make his decisions right away. Wijnaldum is looking towards every offer that might be just suitable for the last big contract of his career. Liverpool have received interest from Barcelona, Juventus, and Inter Milan. Even though Wijlandum remains the most trusted player for Jurgen Klopp. But he is not ready to sign for a long journey with the club once again. It is evident that he will choose the club whosoever offers him the best contract.

Neuhaus denies to draw into any speculation

Earlier this week when the young midfielder was clear about his future. He refused to draw any speculation about the transfers and said that he has big goals for this season. Alongside having a contract till 2024. He said he is focusing on his goals and transfer talks is no issue for him.

Neuhaus said that at a moment he is very relaxed about his future. He has everything with Borussia and the club has given him everything that was needed to develop his personality.
