One of Europe’s top-notch wonderkid is Jamal Musiala of FC Bayern Munich. The English youngster joined the Bavarian giants in the year 2019 from London club Chelsea when he was just a meagre 17 years old.
Following in the steps of Jadon Sancho who too made the switch from England to Germany, Musiala has been impressive so far in his stay. Moreover, he’s acknowledged by fans and critics alike who predict a big future for him.
Hence it doesn’t come as a surprise that manager Hansi Flick has shown such great faith and belief in his capabilities. So far he has started 13 times in the Bundesliga and 3 times in the UEFA Champions League.
Additionally, he also featured in the 1-1 draw against Spanish club Atletico Madrid. Moreover, his form has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City who all want a piece of him.
However new reports according to Goal state that Liverpool have hit a dead-end in the pursuit of Jamal Musiala. Indeed German side Bayern Munich have progressed in their negotiations with the midfielder.
Up until now Musiala and Bayern Munich faced delay in the contract negotiations due to the player’s wage demands. Apparently, Musiala is fixed on a £100k a week wage, and Bayern Munich hesitated at the start.
Jamal Musiala to Liverpool is under threat?
Liverpool at the moment face difficulty in keeping up with their title defence. With the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City steaming ahead of them, it seems that the Reds will not be able to keep up.
Make no mistake- this Liverpool side boasts of world-class talents who on their day can defeat any side in world football. However, at the moment they are not clicking. And maybe the injection of a youngster like Musiala can help.
No wonder that Jurgen Klopp needs a breath of fresh air at Anfield and is fixated on Jamal Musiala. The youngster is hugely talented and can play the role of a creative midfielder to partner the likes of Henderson and Thiago Alcantara.
However, it looks like Bayern Munich realize that letting go of Jamal Musiala isn’t the wisest choice and hence are ready to agree with his wage demands. Moreover, they’re also providing him with regular game time.
The Reds need quick solutions at this point of time. With the Premier League, this season being so unpredictable consistency is the key. They have a wonderful squad but need to implement new ideas.
Bayern Munich’s assistant coach Sebastian Hoeneß has highly appreciated Jamal Musiala’s talent: “The boy is ice cold. If you talk to him before the game, he appears focused, calm and reserved.”
