The 20-year-old midfielder has agreed on fresh terms to commit his future with Reds. When asked about this, the midfielder said:
“It’s a really great feeling. I’ve been at Liverpool for four years now and I’m just really happy to extend my stay here,”
“It’s a massive club, the club’s doing really well at the moment, so it wasn’t a hard decision at all.”
“I’m just going to keep working hard and see where that takes me.
“I really want to be a regular at Liverpool Football Club, a massive club, so that’s my aim.”
Ovie Ejaria’s next step of development will come under Steven Gerrard at Glasgow Rangers. He has 8 first team appearances on his name which all came in 2016-17 season. The midfielder is a current England U-21 international and also he was also a part of last year’s U-20 World Cup-winning side.
Gerrard is looking to bolster his squad for the upcoming season. Former Liverpool captain has already made three recruitments for the Scottish side. Capturing the midfielder on loan could become a significant signing of Gerrard’s managerial era at Rangers.
With Keita set to join, Monaco ace Fabinho captured and availability of three or four midfielders for a similar position, it is almost clear that there is no scope for the youngster in Liverpool squad next season. It is a good deal for both the clubs. Loan spell at Rangers will certainly help Ejaria to develop and gain experience. Also, the 20-year-old surely bolster Gerrard’s squad and will help him to achieve set targets.
