Liverpool News: West Ham United have been a completely revolutionary side under manager David Moyes. The Hammers have been one of the standout teams this season and have performed exceptionally well.
One of the most striking aspects about their play this season has been their performance against big teams. The 3-2 win against Liverpool FC at home was definitely one of the best matches of this season.
Moreover, the win against Chelsea was also one of top-notch quality. They have certainly shown that they are capable of holding their ground against the big guns in the Premier League.
Additionally, one of the best players for them this season has been forward Jarrod Bowen. The English international has been exceptional for them and has taken the responsibility of the forward line on himself.
Liverpool News: Jarrod Bowen is compared to the likes of Mohamed Salah
Jarrod Bowen is also being actively pursued by Liverpool FC. The Reds have identified him as a key player who can definitely bring in more quality into their side. Moreover, Jarrod Bowen is being compared to Egyptian king Mohamed Salah.
Stuart Pearce has given a glowing review and believes he has similarities with Mohamed Salah. Although he still has a long way to go to reach Mohamed Salah’s heights, he still has a bright start.
“The comparisons between him and probably Mo Salah, the way Mo Salah finishes where he stands the defender up and stops him and then goes again or uses the defender, you use the defender to curl the ball around into that far corner,” he said.
“Starting a run then stopping it, killing a defender in his tracks then going again, little things like that, that’s why I think he still has more to come from his game.”
Additionally, Stuart Pearce also pointed out Jarrod Bowen’s ability to score with two feet. This is something that is very similar to that of Mohamed Salah, who also is capable of scoring with either leg.
“Good thing with him, he’s got two really good feet, and the last goal he scored was with his head and he’s got a really good leap on him as well.
“So all-round he can score with his head or both feet, which is a sign of a decent striker and he’s played up front for us as well which has been a real bonus for us as a team.”
West Ham United are next in action against Kidderminster Harriers F.C. in the FA Cup fourth round on the 5th of February. On the other hand, Liverpool will be playing Cardiff City on the 6th of February.
