Liverpool News: It looks like Jurgen Klopp will finally have to reshuffle his attacking lineup. The combination of Salah, Mane, and Firmino was Klopp’s go-to weapon in his time with Liverpool.

With Mane’s departure looking eminent it looks like the trio is finally about to break up. Firmino too has complaints about his game time with the Reds and might end up leaving the club.

He is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool just like Mane and can decide to part ways with the club. Should that happen Jurgen Klopp will be on the lookout for potential replacements to fill in the gap left by their departures.

While the club is looking at various alternatives, Former striker Luis Suarez has a suggestion in terms of who Liverpool should try to sign. Suarez has openly advocated the skills of Darwin Nunez.

Luis Suarez is probably one of the few players who were able to keep up their form after moving from the Premier League to Europe. The veteran striker has seen it all in terms of experience.

So when someone like Suarez says a player is special, it would be wise to listen to his advice. Suarez has played with Nunez with Uruguay and this was his statement for Nunez as per reports from LiverpoolEcho.

“I recommended Darwin to Barcelona when he was at Almeria,” Suarez revealed in an interview with Gerard Romero on Twitch. “I have 15 years of international experience and I know a thing or two about forwards.

And I told them, ‘Pay attention to this one, he’s very good, he shows interesting things’. Suarez told Barcelona to look at Nunez as an option but the Catalonians did not listen to him.

If Barcelona would have signed Nunez at that point in time his transfer value would have been tripled by now. Benfica signed him for €20 million and right now his current transfer value is close to €70 million.

He is coming off a brilliant season with Benfica. The 22-year-old has 6 goals in this season’s Champions League and played a key role in Benfica’s qualification. He has 34 goals and 4 assists to his name in 41 games for the club.

Quite prolific numbers for a youngster. Liverpool could do with someone like him leading the line for the club. But considering how he’s playing they could have to end up paying a figure of close to €80 million for Nunez’s services.

Martin Terrier is also an option for the Reds but if Klopp is to trust Suarez, Nunez seems like the better choice. It will be interesting to see who ends up spearheading the Reds’ attack in the next season.
