The Premier League Champions have reached an agreement to land a Portuguese midfielder from the French club. The Reds are in search of a midfielder in the market. The Merseyside is set to land the Portuguese international at Anfield anytime soon.
Liverpool are the league leaders in Premier League without a doubt after their stellar performances amidst injury concerns. Many were doubting if Klopp could manage his side with crucial injury blows. However, the former Dortmund manager has done well with the squad.
Even with a busy schedule, Klopp did well to rotate his squad in order to not risk his players with fatigue. Klopp’s main blow this term is their defensive leader Virgil Van Djik. The Dutchmen picked up an injury in the Merseyside derby with a rough tackle from Everton shot-stopper.
They also lost their centre-back Joe Gomez, who pairs up with Van Djik. Now, Fabinho and Matip are working at the back for the Reds. However, Klopp wants to land a centre-back in January with Matip not yet fully fit to perform. Liverpool might go for Schalke’s Ozan Kabak, who has a lot of interests from top-flight clubs.
Injury concerns for Klopp
Leaving the Reds defense aside, there are a whole lot of injury concerns in the midfield set-up as well. Klopp’s big worry is about the latest summer signing from Bayern Munich, Thiago Alcantara. Former Barcelona midfielder suffered a knee injury in the Merseyside derby following a challenge from Richarlison.
Klopp doesn’t want to risk the midfielder anytime soon even if he’s half-ready by now. While, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was a worry for Klopp with an injury. The midfielder is almost fit after being on the bench for the game against Fulham.
James Milner, Naby Keita, and Xherdan Shaqiri are also yet to recover from their injuries. Liverpool reserves have stepped-up for the side and impressed Klopp as well. Now, Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a midfielder in the market.

Perfect replacement for Gini Wijnaldum?
Renato Sanches,23, will be a fine replacement for the Dutch midfielder, Wijnaldum. Former Newcastle United central midfielder might join hands with his Dutch manager Ronald Koeman at Barcelona. As per reports, Liverpool didn’t approach Gini Wijnaldum’s agent for a contract extension.
The Dutchmen’s contract comes to an end at Anfield by next summer and the midfielder might join Barca or Inter Milan for free. Koeman wanted Depay and Wijnaldum at Camp Nou this summer. However, the deal didn’t go through for the Dutch manager.
Liverpool has now identified Renato Sanches, who is doing well for Lille in Ligue-1. The Portuguese midfielder struggled to find his form with German giants Bayern Munich. He was even loaned-out to Welsh club Swansea City FC. Sanches couldn’t do much for the Swans as well in his loan stint.
Finally, the Portuguese international made his switch to France for a new journey. The 23-year-old has been doing good for the French club, which has gathered Liverpool’s attention. Renato Sanches has a goal for Lille in his eight appearances so far in Ligue 1 this term.
