It is a major injury blow for Liverpool as the midfield man will miss starting few months of the season because of the injury occurred. Lallana was withdrawn at half time due to feeling tightness in his thigh during Audi Cup final against Athletico Madrid.
When the player was withdrawn during the Audi Cup final, the injury didn’t look that serious at that time, but scans have revealed that the injury can keep him out of season for up to three months which will not be a good news for Liverpool and LFC fans.
Lallana will miss important matches
Even if Lallana comes back from injury earlier than the anticipated period, he will miss some important games for Liverpool. The 29-year-old will miss both legs of the Champions League play-off with Hoffenheim, as well as Premier League ties with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
When Klopp was asked about Lallana’s injury concern, he said “This is certainly not the news we would have wanted.Unfortunately, the damage is such that it will likely mean Adam is out for a couple of months not weeks, so I think we can pretty much rule him out of August and September.”
“Beyond that, we will monitor and wait and see. He is a boy with a world-class attitude to everything professionally and he has always come back in good time from injury setbacks since I have been here, so we will see.”
