LSG VS RCB: Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator clash of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is taking place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The winner of the clash will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier. Lucknow Super Giants finished third on the points table whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore finished fourth on the table.

Talking about the game, Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul won the toss and invited Royal Challengers Bangalore to open the face of the blade first.

LSG bowler Mohsin Khan got off to a terrific start as he got the better of captain Faf du Plessis for a golden duck. RCB recovered with the help of Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli.

The right-handed batter played the best knock of his IPL career as he scored an unbeaten 112 off 54 balls. He also became the first uncapped player to score a century in the playoffs. Patidar decorated his innings with the help of 12 boundaries and 7 hits over the fence.

Rajat Patidar maintained a strike-rate of 207.41. His powerful knock powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to 207 for the loss of four wickets in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

After RCB’s innings, Rajat Patidar opened up on his innings. While speaking to Star Sports, he said he feels good that they have posted a good total on the board.

At the same time, he further added that, it won’t be easy for them to defend the total. However, he remarked that they do have a chance if they bowl well and stick to the basics.

“Feels good that we have posted such a good total on a good pitch. It won’t be that easy to defend this total, but if we bowl well, we do have a chance to win this game,” he added.

He further added, “I just tried to time the ball well and place it in the gaps. I wasn’t looking forward to getting my century, but I was trying to get as many runs as possible.”
