Lyon news: Peter Bosz joined as manager of the Ligue 1 club at the start of the 2021-22 season.
But the French club struggled to get going under him, finishing eighth in the league table last term. They have endured a disappointing start to the current season as well and are 12 points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 table.
Lyon are winless in their last five league games, picking up just one point in that time. The Kids’ poor performances on the pitch put his job under scrutiny. Bosz has also fallen out with the Kids’ squad in recent weeks.
Captain Alexandre Lacazette has criticized him publicly after the 1-1 draw against Toulouse on Friday. While speaking to the media, he said: “I know what he wants. I can’t speak for every player. In any case, when you watch the match this evening, I don’t think everything is clear to everyone. That’s what is a shame.”

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Lyon is set to sack Peter Bosz as their manager.
Ligue 1 club decided Bosz’s fate during his meeting with the club’s management yesterday. Assistant manager Claudio Caçapa will take interim charge of the French club. The announcement of the Dutchman’s sacking is expected in the coming hours.
Former France and Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc is among the leading candidates to take charge at the Groupama Stadium. Blanc last managed Blanc Qatar Star League club Al-Rayyan in. He was sacked in February after a string of poor results.
Houssem Aouar had agreements with three clubs
Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar has revealed that he had an agreement with three different clubs over personal terms last summer.
Speaking to the media, he said (via Goal): “I had an agreement with Benfica, Betis, and Nottingham. They are three totally different projects and I didn’t turn them down.
But unfortunately, Lyon couldn’t reach an agreement with these clubs.”

Aouar has been a consistent performer for the Ligue 1 club since breaking into their first team during the 2016-17 season. He has played 164 French top-division games so far, registering 29 goals and 23 assists.
The Algeria international was part of the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season 2019-20. However, he has struggled with injuries this season, managing to start just one game in the league so far.
