Man City news: Manager Pep Guardiola has lavished praise on Gabriel Jesus, stating that they had an incredible striker in the Brazilian attacker.
Jesus swapped Man City for their Premier League rivals, Chelsea, in the recently closed summer transfer window. The 25-year-old left City after six seasons at the club.
During his time at Man City, Jesus featured in 236 games for the club and scored 95 goals which is an impressive tally.
He won the Premier League title four times with City during his stint at Manchester. Jesus also tasted FA Cup success once with City. He also won the EFL Cup thrice and the FA Community Shield twice with Man City.

Guardiola has heaped praise on Jesus. The Man City manager said they had an incredible striker in Jesus. Guardiola added that he was delighted with Jesus and told the Brazilian knows that he loves him.
“We had an incredible striker with Gabriel,” Guardiola said. “I was delighted with Gabriel, I love this guy as he knows.”
Meanwhile, Jesus has signed a contract until 2027 with Arsenal. He wears the no.9 jersey in the north London outfit.
Jesus has got off to a fine start at Arsenal. He has featured in all seven games Arsenal have played so far this season.
He has scored three goals and assisted another three goals so far for Arsenal. All those goals and assists came in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Guardiola also revealed his reaction to Man City signing Erling Haaland in the summer transfer window. Guardiola said: “Txiki [Begiristain] talked to me and it was a two-second conversation: ‘Okay, fine, what would you say? We had an incredible striker in Gabriel Jesus. But we had the chance to bring [Erling] here so why not?”
Haaland has instantly hit the ground running at Man City this season. He has already hit double figures in goals scored so far this season.
Haaland has racked up 12 goals for City in just 8 appearances for the club. He scored 10 of those goals – including two back-to-back hat-tricks – in the Premier League and other two in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, the club Jesus plays for, is the Premier League leader right now with 15 points from six matches. Man City is second with 14 points.
