Analysis

Manchester City will need all three points to keep them at a better in the race for the league title. The competition is getting tighter as clubs gain momentum from the bottom and move up the table early this term. It’s that time of the season, where clubs like City should hit top gear to cement their position.

Meanwhile, Brighton does require points to climb up the table, away from the relegation zone. The Seagulls could’ve been sent home from the FA Cup tournament after an underwhelming performance against Newport County. Danny Welbeck, Aaron Connolly, and Adam Lallana are all doubts after missing out on the weekend fixture.

Manchester City clearly ahead of Brighton in this head to head clash. In the last 24 meetings, City has the upper hand with fifteen wins, while Brighton has won five out of them. Three of which have ended in a draw giving each a point. Citizens are having a good run with five wins in their last five games, and Seagulls are winless in their last five outings, which is a big worry for Potter.

The 26-year-old Belgian will be aiming to put his penalty miss behind him as he earns a recall to the attack. The left-winger will be key to make a mark for his club against giants Manchester City. Former Genk star has to set up for the struggling Brighton side.

Trossard has just one goal this season in Premier League in fourteen appearances for his side. He’ll be looking to add on more to his goal tally in the coming weeks of league action. While the Belgian has also provided three assists for the Seagulls this term.

Bernardo Silva

The Portuguese winger is in good form at the moment, after helping his side in the weekend in FA Cup. Bernardo’s brace against Birmingham takes Man City to the next stage of the FA Cup tournament. The talented winger is yet to score a goal or provide an assist in Premier League this term.

It is a rare sight, seeing such a star taking the time to join the party. The two-goal against Birmingham will boost up his confidence to display better performance in Premier League on Wednesday. The Portuguese have made just nine appearances so far this term in the League.

Final Score Prediction

Graham Potter’s side has an unraveling defensive setup, which will face a threatening City’s attack on Wednesday night football. Manchester City might clinch a comfortable 3-0 victory over the traveling Seagulls, which could also worsen their league position as well at the bottom of the table.
