The Old Trafford outfit have been linked with world-class superstars, including Neymar, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo in the last few summers but the club authorities have concluded that the trio would not help them go forward anymore. The Manchester United have revealed that they faced defeat in singing Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale after Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

Brazilian star, Neymar extended his contract with Barcelona this year, while Ronaldo and Bale are finishing on new deals with Real Madrid, which shows why United think they will not help them go forward.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Red Devils also want new signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic to represent the club until he turns 38.

In spite of missing two convertible chances in the Manchester Derby, the Swedish national scored a brilliant goal just before half-time, taking his tally to 5 goals in 5 games for the Old Trafford team since his arrival in Manchester.

The veteran striker turns 35 this October, and is expected to last atleast two season for Manchester United. How long the experienced striker remains at the Old Trafford, could depend on Jose Mourinho’s support of the striker.

In spite of the ban on Atletico Madrid for signing new players for the next two transfer windows, Manchester United would not stop expressing their interest in their star, Antoine Griezmann next summer. The Blues also are interested in signing the Frenchman and it might need both the clubs to break the bank in the race to sign the 25-year-old.

Although, Griezmann has also extended his contract with Atletico Madrid until 2021 this year, the contract extension would only increase his value for an unavoidable transfer.

The Red Devils also expressed their interest in West Ham youngster, Reece Oxford last term, but the 17-year-old is closing in on a new deal with the Hammers.
