Man United given one condition to buy this La Liga star!

The Red Devils are keen to lure the former Premier League player.

Manchester United have been linked with a lot of players in the winter transfer window. The likes of Koulibaly and Skriniar are all linked with a move to Old Trafford. Gareth Bale and Philippe Coutinho have been linked for a move as well. It seems United can buy this La Liga star on one condition.

Philippe Coutinho ‘hits rock bottom’ as Man United gave one condition to sign Barcelona star. Philippe Coutinho’s confidence has taken a major hit at Barcelona just a year after arriving. Coutinho was a big-money arrival at the Nou Camp last January as he left Liverpool in a £142m deal. But things haven’t worked out for the Brazilian, who has failed to replicate the form that persuaded Barcelona to cough up for his services. He was on target in the Copa del Rey in midweek but that was his first goal since October. He has been warned he must knuckle down and fight for his place by boss Ernesto Valverde.

Coutinho is unsurprisingly disappointed with how things are going. MARCA reports he is at rock bottom due to the current situation. It has led to reports that he could be on his way out of Barca in the summer. The La Liga leaders are looking to cash in on to fund a move for Neymar. And that has led to speculation that Manchester United could look to bring him back to the Premier League. It would be a huge deal if United can pull it off to take a former Liverpool star to Old Trafford. But Barcelona will only listen to offers that will see them pocket the same fee they paid for the player, reports Calcio Mercato.

United face having to pay close to the £142m for Coutinho, which would be a record for the Premier League.

Author’s Take:

Manchester United shouldn’t sign Coutinho. United already have good forwards like Martial, Lingard, Sanchez and Rashford. So there seems no reason to buy an attacking player. Also the Red Devils are yet to announce who the next manager will be and before signing the Brazilian they should get a nod from the boss.
