Manchester United to sign a new fullback in this transfer window?

It is now clear that Manchester United are looking to sign a new full-back in this transfer window. United linked with full-backs Sergio Reguilon and Alex Telles in recent weeks.

Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon is the primary defensive target for the United. Red Devils are also preparing an initial offer of a £22million for the Reguilon, who has been made available by Los Blancos.

“We told you some time ago Manchester United were in the market for another full-back, that they were prepared to sign either a left-back or a right-back, preference being for a left-back but if the player was of sufficient quality of the options available to them, they would take a right-back, a younger one on that side. If they take a left-back, the idea is to move Brandon Williams from back-up up to Luke Shaw into back-up for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and allow him to develop over there.” – Duncan Castles on Diogo Dalot

Porto left-back Alex Telles, also strongly linked with the Old Trafford move in this window. Telles is available for the only £20million because his contract expires next summer.

According to Duncan Castles United are looking to sign another right-back too if any player becomes available. That means Diogo Dalot will be loaned out if a new full-back arrives at Old Trafford.
