Manchester United has reportedly turned a bid from Atalanta United to keep the 18-year-old winger on loan. Solskjaer’s side is keen to land in replacements in search of silverware this term. The club has started to complete deals already in the January transfer window.
After failing to secure the Champions League Round of 16 spots, United and Solskjaer began to focus on a better finish to their Premier League. The Red Devils are now positioned second in the table just below Liverpool with 33 points. However, United has played a game less than Liverpool and might sit at top of the table after the next fixture.
The Norwegian manager did ask his management to rope-in potential signings for a top finish to the league. The club is said to have made a potential signing already and is expected to make more signings as well in the coming days. The club has shortlisted a number of targets for the January window.
The Red Devils are already in a good position in the league table and could end up winning the league title if they can sign the right players. However, Liverpool won’t give up the race easily, who slipped out in their last game against Southampton courtesy of Danny Ings’ brilliance.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano
Amad Diallo has shown a good glimpse of football with Atalanta and no doubt United went behind for his signature. The winger will be a good investment for the future, who has age on his side and can only develop under a brilliant set-up like Manchester United.
United are confident over UK work permit
According to ESPN, United are confident he will receive that paperwork ‘imminently’. As per the reports, Diallo flew to Rome on Sunday to complete the UK work permit paperwork, which is almost done. The player will be ready to join United in January and not in plans to loan him out to Italy.
Gasperini told Corriere dello Sport the player would ‘clearly’ move to Old Trafford after the issues around the move had been resolved. ‘The transfer market? We are fine, the club is attentive,’ Gasperini said. ‘There seemed to be transfer difficulties but as soon as they are unlocked the player clearly goes to Manchester United.
‘There is an internal solution within the club that could be very interesting, even if the team is fine: it is Amad Diallo. It is clear that he is going to Manchester United, but he could still remain here for a few months with us. I like him a lot, he’s only 18. I’d like him to stay until June, obviously, it depends on his club.’
Amad Diallo: Suitable winger for United?

The young right-winger could be the perfect signing for United. The Red Devils were behind Jadon Sancho for quite some time but still couldn’t find a perfect deal to sign him. However, this 18-year-old Amad Diallo could be a perfect alternative fit for Jadon Sancho at United.
The young prodigy came through the youth ranks of Atalanta and is already showing good promise with the senior side. The lad has made just five senior appearances for the Seria A side and has a goal to his name. Although, he has been a regular for the youth side.
His addition to Solskjaer’s side will bolster the attacking setup, which is lacking firepower up front. However, it won’t be easy for the youngster to hit the ground running in Premier League on his debut season. The fans and manager are having high hopes for the winger, who is expected to join United this January.
