Spanish player David de Gea is apparently under the eyes of Real Madrid and the consequent trails of the player’s journey are being speculated all over.
The goalkeeper has been exploring his excel in the Manchester United for a long while since he signed the club in 2011. He seemed to be considering the move when he commented on rumours as ‘the future is the future’, adding after the statement that he is happy at the United.
But Mourinho, the manager, who has managed the Reals for three years, rules out the feasibility of such a probable move ‘behind his back’, the reasoning of his friendship with its president Florentino Perez, “I can say that we are friends forever, big friends. I like them a lot. Friends speak, friends are open, friends are honest.” He is certain that he and his friend will be presenting their views to each other before proceeding on such a decision. “So if at the end of the season I want one of their players or they want one of our players we will not do it through the press. We are going to exchange messages. We will be very direct. So they are one of the clubs that I am not worried about at all.”
The Portuguese manager, however, is not vehement in David’s presence in the summer in the upcoming season, “I have nothing to say because I am not going to speak about hypothetical things. The only thing that is real is that he is my player, I am happy with him, I know that he is happy with me and there is nothing else, absolutely nothing else.”
So basically Mourinho expects things to go by his commendations, if not in interest.
Mourinho also talks about his club’s market this season, “We are stable, so we think our market in the summer will be soft, will be natural.” Further, “So everything is balanced and I think our summer will be quite small.”
David de Gea has been regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers and he was honoured with the club’s Player of the Year award in thrice consecutive seasons.
