Defending English Premier League champions Manchester City are exploring the possibility of signing German youngster Yousouffa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund.
Born in Cameroon, Youssoufa Moukoko started his football career with the German team, St. Pauli. He joined their under-13 team in 2014 and netted 23 goals in 13 matches for the U-15 team.
Looking at this, Borussia Dortmund soon signed this youngster. He played u-17 Bundesliga at the age of 13. He was then promoted to Under 19 when he was 14. Moukoko scored six goals in his first match u-19 Bundesliga outing.
Overall he netted 141 goals in 88 matches at the U-17 and U-19 levels. Looking at his potential, Dortmund quickly turned him into a first-team player. Moukoko then went on a record-breaking spree. The forward became the youngest-ever player to play in Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League. He also became the young gest ever goalscorer in Bundesliga. Manchester City Want to Sign Youssoufa Moukoko

Now according to a report from Football Insider, Manchester City have joined the race to sign German youngster Youssouffa Moukoko from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
Under Spanish gaffer Pep Guardiola, Manchester City have built a great squad. They have multiple quality players in every position. But that does not stop them from looking for and signing more talented youngsters.
Earlier in the season, Manchester City signed Norweigian forward Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund after paying his release clause worth £51 million to the German team. Now they are once again looking to snatch another prodigy from them.
At 17, Moukoko has already established himself as a very important player in the Borussia side. The forward has scored four times and provided six assists in eighteen appearances so far. He is currently one of the highest-rated youngsters in the world.
Moukoko’s contract with Dortmund will expire at the end of this season. It is still unclear if he will sign an extension deal with the German side. Hence it is a very big chance for Manchester City to sign the youngster for free in the next summer window.
Apart from Manchester City, clubs like Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also very much interested in the youngster. So if the Citizens want to rope in the forward, they will have to move fast than the rest.
Earlier, Manchester City defeated Spanish club Sevilla 3-1 yesterday. With this win, City have qualified for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 as the group win. Similar to UEFA Champions League, they have got a great start in the English Premier League.
City have won nine out of their first twelve matches. With twenty-nine points they are currently in the second position in the table. The Citizens will now face Fulham in their next match.
